Ok, so before I had major hospital time (yawn, all I’ve talked about for days, sorry) me and Lindsey had cheese related debacle in Perry Bizzle’s very own Asda. The question, put to fellow shoppers around us, was…
Can you freeze cheese?
Whilst I (and it’s fair to say most of the dairy based product aisle) agreed that the answer was a firm NO, but Lin assured me that you could and that it was common practice back home - home being the Rural Capital of Food we’ll have you know. Well, here it is, I will apologise right now to Lindsey for my naivety as I have been informed - by many reliable sources - that you can in fact freeze cheese.
A mere Google search brought up approximately 2,830,000 results when asking the question ‘Can I freeze cheese?’, most of which agreeing with my cheese-eating-peer.
So fellow Internet-goers, the answer is YES! On my next trip to our local supermarché I will invest in the 2 for £3 cheese offer and freeze one block - stay tuned for the results.
(Please Note: I do not in any way, shape or form endorse freezing your cheese, however it does appear as though the Internet does. Don’t hold me responsible for your irresponsible cheese freezing. Thanks.)
Interesting Fact of the Day. Done.
