(500) Days of Summer Beautifuly shot, excellently scored and a happy-on-the-insides story line. Am I giving the impression I liked this? Whilst I might be slightly late on the (500) Days of Summer bandwagon, managed to see it for the first time the other night and instantly realized why it has had such rave reviews. The production has a similar feel to both indie productions, ‘Juno’ and ‘Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist’ - but with a seemingly inobvious lack of Michael Cera. The alternative rom-com storyline accentuated by the genius choice of music, and kept hooked by the non-linear (sorry to get all techno on you guys) narration. So yes, make sure you watch this - and yes, I am listening to the soundtrack as I type. It features The Temper Trap so it’s a big hit.
